What makes Halo worthwhile is the online play, and the quality of past
Halo titles gives good reason to be interested in what the final
chapter will be like, especially with enemy AI. Gears is from a
reknown developer of great shooters, and has already shown some great
graphics.
Not to knock Insomniac, but their game is for a console with no known
online gameplay. And while it would be a bragging point to have a FPS
which is better than any to hit any Sony console yet, that's not saying
much. Furthermore, it just doesn't look as graphically impressive,
from what I've seen of it. And something tells me that the expanded
size on the disk (the biggest bragging point I've heard, which isn't a
good sign) won't lead to a game that looks better or plays longer than
the competitions' shooter efforts.
