That won't work. I doubt this, or any other chinese idiot spammer can
actually read English. If she could, she'd have a real job. Besides,
chinese spammers never actually read usenet. It's just a place for them to
put their ads.
This also illustrates why anything with a IP# belonging to china (including
hong kong and taiwan) should be firewalled at the router.
So long as chinese spammers think they can make money, nothing else
matters. Not laws, not morals. Nothing. You could offer one of them a
nickel for the right arm of their mother. Not only would they happily do it,
they'll go buy a knife first, and then brag about how much money they're
going to make. Apparentally a total lack of business sense and math is
also essential if you want to be a successful chinese spammer.

Yeah, it's getting bad at the moment, like constant bombardment. My
spam filters on email are working overtime and since joining this
group I have tons of either chinese or taiwanese (I assume) spam in my
spamtrap. Odd ones get through, I'm not that great at stopping it all.

No problem.
For me, it wasn't until I started reading the console groups that I
started getting chinese spam. At first it was just the pirates out in
hong kong and malaysia. At one point, they got into a fight as I'd get
spam that'd say things like "We honest business men - not like chinese
thieves!" Yeah, that's what the world needs - an honest, spamming, warez
pirate.
Nowadyas, I'm filtering at least 1500 messages from china, taiwan and
korea every day. Most are in chinese/korean. A few are for clueless
import/export shops looking for business contacts. One company wanted to
import high-quality specula's. I wrote back saying I was only interested
in bad-quality specula's, and got an indecipherable response back in
Chinese. The ISPs don't care because they're making money. Although I
have heard that "interesting" things happen sometimes when you write email
to the ISP administrator indicating that their intent to support the Free
Tibet association - which was cleverly disguised as a spam message - has
been received. Doesn't work anymore as no chinese ISP has any valid
registration information available. This alone means they aren't worth
exchanging packets with.

I think it was true of me also but telewest/blueyonder put into action
their own spam filters and suddenly the whole oriental thing was
jammed, along with those watch spams, and that spoof microsoft update
thing. You can tell when the company are having problems as this crap
starts slipping through again. they have not managed to halt the spoof
banking scam but inform us that we have settings in our web mail
accounts where we can set our own limits etc. This would be great but
sometimes my OCD doesn't allow me to mess around with stuff and this
is one of them :O(

Maybe, but at least when you sign a contract with most Americans, they'll
stick to it - even if it's only because they fear the legal repercussions.
Contracts mean little, if anything, to Chinese. Even once you've signed a
contract on a deal, Chinese people will think they can still try to
negotiate on things - even trying to break the contract outright if they
feel they no longer have anything to gain.
Even Chinese hate doing business with other Chinese because they know what
will happen. But often times, the initial deal or cost is so attractive,
it seems worth the risk.
Most Chinese also have such bad business sense, it's like they all went
through the same Bizzaro MBA Program or something. One of the biggest
mistakes they make is that they take profits out of their revenues first.
A restaurant owner sees that he makes $500 during lunch and thinks "I made
$500 profit - that's my money!" But fails to realize that he still has to
pay salaries, taxes, pay for the food he bought, rent, etc. Instead he
pockets the $500, then whines he has no money to run his business. Ah,
yes. Chinese bookkeeping at its best!
And these are for the "legitimate" businesses. I can't imagine the type
of math employed by a Chinese spammer...
