| "If you take one thing away from this conference, then it must be
that Perfect Dark Zero will be to 360 what Halo was to the original
Xbox," said Microsoft this week as it revealed its Xbox 360 retail
launch plans. The Redmond giant gave 329 Gamestation store staff
exclusive insights into its plans for the console's launch this week,
revealing that marketing for Perfect Dark Zero begins on October 4th,
nearly two months before the console itself goes on sale. The campaign
is huge, on a par with the amount spent on Halo 2 even though the
installed base is much smaller.
Micro$haft marketing has decided the xflop 1.5 full circle needs a
strong feminine hero for xflop fanfairies to identify with more
closely. It turns out that Master Chief was too burly and manly for a
lot of xflop fanfairies, so they tended to be afraid of him and that
kept sales of Halo lower than expected. Joanna Dark has that right
combination of androgynous femininity/masculinity that appeals to so
