Games Controller Vs. PS2 Dual Shock

| A while back our rabbit chewed through my only
PS2 Dual Shock 2 Controller. I've got other controllers but
they are 3rd party. The one I'm using now is the Gamester.
I'm playing We Love Katamari and this game requires perfect
analog thumb sticks. To me the character is not moving as
fast as he was on the original. But on the original I used
the PS2 Dual Shock 2. I want to make sure that I really need
the Sony product before I go and spend extra cash to replace it.
Has anyone tried WLK with a 3rd part controller like the Gamester?
Maybe the speed has changed from the first game?

IMHO, it's worth the extra money to get a genuine Sony DS2 controller...or
maybe the Logitech wireless one. Mmm. Wireless.

I concur about a genuine Sony DS2 controller.
I disconcur about the Logitech wireless. Unless there is a newer/better
version of them. Got a pair, the controls seem lagged and 'clunkier'
than a corded controller. On one of the controllers the circle button
sticks, and they don't feel as substantial as the Sony DS2 controller..
as in will take some abuse.
Hopefully the wireless stuff is better in the next generation, being
that its actually a Sony product now. As opposed to only 3rd party
current wireless controllers.
