| My knowledge of console games consists mainly of one evening playing
Halo on an Xbox at a friend's home.
I have a bit more experience with PC games, mainly Quake II.
I am a road warrior. I carry a Microsoft laptop with me often. I need
to keep the laptop safe for Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office. I
could not afford to load a game on the laptop and then find that the
game has also installed StarForce, SecuROM, UAService7.exe, and/or
other game-hosted malware.
Meanwhile, I enjoy playing Soul Calibur, Tekken, and Time Crisis in
arcades.
(Q1) What is the best way for me to get mobile versions of these (or
similar) games?
I agree that the PSP hardware looks handsome, but so far the game
titles for PSP don't grab my attention.
So, I have the idea of getting a PS2 Slimline and carrying it with me
often to play Tekken and watch DVD movies.
(Q2) How do I select a mobile monitor for the PS2 Slimline ?
I find small online stores eager to sell me a (INTEC G7300 5" COLOR LCD
FOR PLAYSTATION 2 - BLACK) or a (Pelican Game Glass 7" Mobile Monitor
Deluxe for Slim Playstation 2 Two).
I have not found detailed specs for any PS2 Slimline mobile monitors.
I especially want to know the resolution of the mobile monitors, and
which TV modes they support.
Dell sells laptops having (1920 x 1200) resolution displays, so it is
possible to produce mobile monitors having resolutions similar to HDTV
1080i (1920 x 1080).
(Q3) But is it possible to buy a PS2 Slimline mobile monitor that would
support all of the PS2 video modes?
At http://www.hdtvarcade.com/ I find indications that PS2 games use the
video modes of 16:9 and HDTV 480p (852 x 480), at least.
(Q4) Can any PS2 Slimline mobile monitor support the video modes of
16:9 and HDTV 480p ?
Thank you.
