I just got a ps2. I ordered fight night 2004 on ebay by accident (i
meant to buy round 2). Is it worth getting round 2 now or should I wait
a while or not even bother? Also what other fighting games are worth
getting? I tend to like wrestling games and I liked the UFC game for
dreamcast way back when. I've done some reading and it seems like Pride
FC is my best choice? Any other recommendations?

Do you mean boxing games or just fighting games in general?
Tekken 5 is out now and Soul Calibur 3 will be out in 2 months.
Soul Calibur 3 is a weapons based fighter and Tekken 5 is not.

Soul Calibur 3 also looks better than Dead or Alive Ultimate for Xbox
and lets you create your own characters. It has tons and tons of modes
for weeks and months of single player playtime. It also has many 2
player modes as well.

Hmm well the last fighting game i really played was STREET FIGHTER 2 for
SNES (i shit u not) so I may have to give these a try. I do however
really want the fighting sim games (like boxing and price fc) and want
to know whats out there.

You might enjoy "Victorious Boxers". I think that is the name of it
anyway. There may be a Victorious Boxers 2 out now, I'm not sure. You
can also try picking up Virtua Fighter 4 or Virtua Fighter 4 Evo.

VF4 Evo has better graphics but a little different single player stuff
than VF4.

VF4 has worse graphics but a better, IMO, single player.

How so? I actually have both, but never played VF4 as much as Evo, just by
circumstance, nothing more. Maybe I need to go back and give VF4 a whirl.
I have to say, VF4 Evo is probably my favorite fighter to date.

Thanks

Well, VF4 has more jaggies than Evo. On a properly calibrated TV Evo is
super clean with almost no jaggies what-so-ever. From what I remember
the modes of play are different too.

The best fighting game ever designed is Capcom Vs SNK 2.

I'd have to say it's one of the better SF games to come out in the last few
years and I played it more than the other SF offerings of late, but I'd have
to say VF4 is better than that.

It's the Citizen Cain syndrome.

You should look at Soul Calibur 2 - it's $20 most places.
