I was just confused because...

"ive two ps2's ones chipped and the other isn't, however the chipped
ones started playing up, i think its the cd lens thing,
is it easier to swap the chipped bit over to the working console or to
change the cd bit over?"

.....didn't make any XXXXing sense in Italiano or English.

BTW, why are you chipping them?
It's just as easy, and as safe or safer, to use swapmagic and the slide
tool with HDD Loader.

Install your games on the HDD and have fun playing.
