funny, the name, age, and number of hours have been changed, but it's

I should say also, you can simulate this on your own without staying

This is a link to an .exe file (yes, it's safe to download) that puts a
pinwheel pattern on your screen. Stare at it for 20 or 30 seconds then
look at a flat object such as the back of your hand.

That's how things look to me after 36 hours of gaming. Yes, the nausea
is normal too...

I like it when I've been reading websites for ages and then when I look

No, but what will most likely happen is blood clots will form in your legs
from being motionless for long periods of time and eventually they move to
the brain, where they will kill you. I doubt this guy died from exhaustion
like the article implied.

Sure, it's happened before, but that doesn't mean it's an urban legend.

Do you have a source that says it's an urban legend, because I can't
find one. I use www.snopes.com usually.

I start seeing stereotypical Grim Reaper figures, complete with black robes
and scythes in my peripheral vision when I'm sleep deprived. Mentioned that

No, it's called DVT, or deep veined thrombosis. It is a
blood clot, usually in the calf area that results from the
lower legs being motionless for long periods of time.
That's why, if you've ever had surgery, they made you wear
those funny hoses massage your legs. The signs are pain in
the leg area, heat emanating from the area, and tenderness
to the touch.

Blood clots in your legs go to your lungs, not your brain. It's a DVT (deep
vein thrombosis) that causes an embolus that causes a PE (pulmonary
embolus). Can be deadly. I would recommend, um, moving your legs every
once in a while if you plan on playing video games for 50 straight hours.

Ah yes, I just read the article. I don't know if that's Korean
Propaganda. I know some Koreans who are hard core video players. Man,
they spend the most amount of hours than anyone else I've seen play.
Well, I almost wen down this route too, but then college happened, and
4 years without playing video games (with one notable exception) sort
of killed my 'lust' to play.

Don't touch alcohol?!? You're not a real man. Sheesh, until you've puked
your guts out on beer, you're still just a pre-pubescent boy...

Well then, since the inception of your country is built on English white

You used to be able to only get 'FourEx' in Queensland, but I've seen it
in and around Sydney in recent years. Never been export only, though.
Can't really stand the stuff myself - tastes just like Budweiser to me -
ick.

Cheers,

You have confused "Real Man" with adolescent that thinks puking is
somehow "cool".

Real Men know when to stop drinking, morons and teenagers drink till
they puke.

No. Actually, YOU have misplaced "simple humor" as some sort of
egotistical threat to your manhood.

I don't recognize this as "simple humor" and not how he actually thinks.

The problem is that I have met people who actually think that way.

Hell back in high school in the '80s, the "preppie" crowd quite
literally did not think it was a good party unless they drank so much
they puked.

It's no threat to me or my manhood, but it's an attitude I cannot
understand.

How is puking "having fun"?

That's just the point, it was the destination.

There's a vast difference between the old Roman custom of the vomitorium
so they could continue to _eat_ and preppies drinking till they puke,
and then not drinking any more.

They drank TO puke, and that's mystifying to me.

Huh. I always saw puking as a badge of honor (of sorts). What you're
describing is just...weird.

Is that honour above or below getting your sister pregnant?

Definitely above (and below losing a relatively inconseqential digit in a
home improvement accident).

Although I take your point. Knocking up your sister is wrong for so many
reasons and yet...you did manage to get some (assuming enthusiasm on the
sibling's part) and your fellas did their job! So you've got that going for
you.
