| Anyone know if Sega has released any of the older games on the PS2 in the
USA? I found some older ones online like Golden Axe and such but they are
only for Japanese consoles.

Maybe. I dunno if it has been release or not yet. Gamefaqs says
yesterday, EBGames says March 22nd. Sega Classics Collection, which
has many of the ones released in Japan.
A lot of them are remakes though, not quite the original game, and
most people think the remakes are pretty bad.

Brilliant, you buy a modern games console and what games do you get.....
Ancient Sega ones that should have been wiped off the planet ageS ago!

Exactly, if you know where I can buy a new Sega Master system/Sega Genisis
and games I would gladly do so, but have no desire to buy one used as I
don't think it would work for very much longer being almost 20 years old. I
also own Namco museum titles and the activision anthology ;p, some of the
best games out there are ancient, most modern games seem to want to
sacrifice game play for better graphics. That is why there are so many crap
games out there today.

| I highly agree with you. Good, remarkable, replayabily games are ancient
80s games. Most new games nowadays just just pure crap and nothing but
profit oriented.

You'll both be disappointed; the Sega games at issue are 3D remakes
(mostly; a couple recent games not scheduled for the US yet are close to
arcade perfect 3D games). Unfortunately Conspiracy Games was supposed to
bring a compilation of some of them out in Q3 last year, and they
haven't surfaced yet.

Thanks for the input, I'll stay away from it then.

Only to the extent you want just the old games; some of the remakes are
supposed to be quite good in their own right.

Hey, the original Golden Axe was a fun game. And even if it is a modern
console, who's to say that you have to totally forget about the older
games. I suppose you only watch movies that were made this year, right?
After all, why bother with those older movies from last year, or the year
before that, etc.?

To be honest I don't watch many movies at all, don't have time, to busy
playing up to date games :P
