Hi,

Im having trouble setting up my slimline PS2 to the pro evo online
channels.

I have not setup Central Station for the ps2, will my pro evo work
online without this?

My current setup is:

NetGEar DG834 Router
PS2 connected to network via LAN

Netgear - 192.168.0.1

PS2 configured
IP - 192.168.0.9 (static)
DNS & Default router are - 192.168.0.1
netmask - 255.255.255.0

I have allowed UDP port 10070 to be incoming into the PS2's static ip.

WHen I try to connect I get error -603.

How can I fix this?

All suggestions will be appreciated!

Hi there, I set-up my slimline PS2 over the w/e - I use a Linux machine
as my internet gateway, but that shouldn't be so different to your
router. I have DHCP enabled on the gateway and a local DNS
(irrelevant) and I didn't have to open/forward any ports on the gateway
firewall at all to get it working. I would imagine your router also
has DHCP enabled, and if not I would recommend you do enable it. I
don't understand what you mean by "Central Station", but I didn't have
to do anything more than go through the tedious network set-up screens
and then register my PES5 userid.

One possible reason for your failure could be that your ISP is blocking
non-standard ports? If you get no joy the ask them...

Andy
