No need to mention 16x9 mate. This format has been around for many many
years in the real world.
Its only yanks that have shite TVs that think its a big deal.

Where are 16x9 televisions standard or even widespread?

Sound like a Gamecuber Kiddie statement trying to downlplay the amazing
near perfect port of RE4 to PS2.

You know, since the PS2 version got True 16x9 and the GC version was
cropped.

Sure does, and 16:9. You can check www.hdtvarcade.com to see HDTV lists of
games for all consoles. If it is something new that has not yet been added
to the list, it is usually on the forums there.

It's not accurate though.
Last I checked it wasn't.

Doesn't have Dolby Pro Logic IIx (7.1) listed for MGS3 on PS2

Doesn't have 480p listed for Catwoman on PS2

No idea how Fatal Frame 3 got listed as 480p when the game isn't out
yet.

God of War is cropped 16x9 not Anamorphic 16x9

Guilty Gear X2 is only 480p in Japan on PS2

Haunting Ground is 16x9 as well as 480p, but 16x9 isn't listed.

Kya has 480p, but it isn't listed

RE4 on PS2 has Anamorphic Widescreen. GC version doesn't.

Sly 2 is 480p, yet again it isn't listed.

See? All these years and that place still has it wrong.

That place doesn't even have all the sound modes listed for Onimusha 3
http://www.dolby.com/consumer/games/interview_02.html

They are:
Dolby Pro Logic II
Dolby DIGITAL Pro Logic II
Dolby Digital 5.1 (during cutscenes)

It even had 2 listening viewpoints you could manually adjust.

I'll take your word for it. I've spent a lot of time all over Europe in
the last couple years and I only saw one widescreen tv (in a home, not
in a store). Guess I was staying with the wrong people

It is only as accurate as people testing and reporting. Feel free to post
your findings there. Many people swear that a certain game is 16:9 or not
but after some people discuss, it is found wrong. The 16:9 listings are not
separated by animorphic or not, only listed if there is an 16:9 option. GC
RE 4 is not listed as 16:9.

Yes Shadow of Colossus does support 480p. I am running it in progressive
with 16x9.
