Author PS2 console hardware heads to retirement on high notes

As the PS2 console hardware heads to retirement, it approaches the end
of this generation with several top quality exclusives:

We Love Katamari

Shadow of Colossus

Kingdom Hearts II

Socom 3

Resident Evil 4 - with widescreen 16:9, progressive scan and extra
gameplay

Guitar Hero - hella fun!!! - http://www.gamespot.com/news/6135705.html

Eyetoy: Play 2

As well as many other non-exclusive titles.

And with these titles, unlike the xflop, there will be no problem
getting a PS3 when it comes out and continuing to play these games
along with all the new ones.

One problem. The PS3 is coming out during Xmas 2006 or early 2007 for North
America right? How the hell am I going to play next generation games on
something thats vaporware for right now? Memo to Bliggety-- buy both and stop
worrying about what the other guy has over you.

That news item is stupid enough to imply that Japan doesn't have guitar
games. Meaning the reviewer apparently hasn't walked into an arcade in
the US in the last five years or taken a good look at a list of imported
games. Hell, Guitar Freaks came out on the original Playstation in 1999,
with a guitar controller...

For those that are out of the loop (ie, Xbots and GameKiddies) I'll
reitirate this post by listing many of the top tier PS2 titles on the
way.

*Note these are all Top Tier titles or big name exclusives, and are
either exclusive to PS2 or offer exclusive features or content.

Soul Calibur 3 (Best looking fighting game on any current gen console)
Resident Eveil 4 (true 16:9, 24bit Color, Extra content)
Shadow of the Collossus (HDR Lighting, Procedural Animation, 9.7@IGN)
Kingdom Hearts 2 (Looking absolutely incredible)
Sly Cooper 3
Jak X Racing
Guitar Hero
Code Age Commanders
Fatal Frame III
Ratchet Deadlocked
Smackdown VS Raw (So far the best looking wrestler out there)
Wild Arms Alter Code F
Dragon Quest VIII (I've played it. It's incredible)
24: The Game (From the makers of Primal and Ghost Hunter)
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Black (Since it is Criterion, the game will look and play better on PS2
just like Burnout Revenge does)
MGS3 Subsistence
Okami
Shadow Hearts:From the new world (This one made by X members of Square?)
Final Fantasy 12
Ace Combat 0
FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus
Cold Winter 2
Siren 2

Possibles:
Dark Cloud 3
Killzone 2

And perhaps the biggest sleeper hit stunner of this generation that
will blow everyone away...

Rouge Galaxy

Those listed are only the top tier titles, I haven't even begun to list
all of the PS2 games coming out.

I could care less about backwards compatible systems. I do care about having
to wait for another year for a next generation system. Its a matter of whats
important and whats not.

Snipped a bunch of useless BS! Please stop posting this crap in here. Anybody
in here that has a PS2 knows whats coming and whats out already. You and
Bliggety(probably the same idiot)need to realize that nobody bases their
purchasing decisions on your stupid ritalin needing rants. Post this crap in
the PS2 newsgroup and only in the PS2 newsgroup tard boy.

You mean to tell me you would rather have a new system now that is only
going to have a handful of launch titles which will be mediocre at best.

rather than...

Wait a few months longer and play some AAA games on the current gen
consoles until that time.
Then, buy your next gen console which is also backwards compatible with
older games, is more powerful than any PC or Console on earth, is bound
to have 90% of all the top titles, plays DVD's and Blue Ray disks, and
could come with Linux pre-installed?

And according to you video games that aren't next gen as of 2006 are
not important, even though some of them may very well be much better
games than what will be released on your new console?

What an idiot.

[sarcasm]
You sure are a true gamer.

Look XXXXhead, I simply posted all of the upcoming PS2 games.
I know it gets your Xbot panties in a bunch knowing that the PS2 is
still kicking Xbox's XXX, and will probably kick XBox360's XXX for a
while too, but seriously, get over it.

Ohh, and incase you haven't noticed this is the PS2 newsgroup.
I posted a PS2 release date list.

So, please explain how that is useless B.S. in a PS2 newsgroup?
Maybe I should start talking about the Xbox360, that would make sense
wouldn't it?

Look tard boy. Dont post this crap in the Xbox newsgroup. I have both systems
and could care less which is kicking which ones XXX. The only place I care is
in my living room where the Xbox kicked the PS2's XXX. Do I still love my PS2-
yep but the Xbox simply gets alot more playtime because its simply better.
Just because the Xbox 360 is coming and is full of sweet cheese does not mean
you stop taking your ritalin.

If the PS2 is as good as you and Bliggy make out, how come you both
have so much time on your hands as to post on this NG incessantly?

Not to mention the time the both of you must spend trawling the web
looking for anything anti Xbox.

heh! heh! what a pair of airheads.

Absolutely right, I've only just bought a PS2 because up until now there
wasn't really anything I saw that impressed me enough to curb me away
from my PC and Gamecube. The things that swung it were Shadow of
Colossus, Gradius 5, Black and We Love Katamari.

It doesn't look like Black will be as dependent on sparks as Burnout is
so it probably will be a wash.
