What will Sega use for team names next year now that they can no longer use
the official NFL names?

Chicago Grizzly's
Tampa Bay Pirates
Washington Indians
Seattle Seagulls

I believe Seattle's is going to be "Seattle Butterfingers" ;-)

I can't remember how they went about it in the original Joe Montana Football on
the Genesis, but it turned out alright. Maybe they'll go the Cyberball or Super
Baseball 2020 route with some really "out there" team names...

Me, I'd like both of those games to get the Prince of Persia treatment.

Agreed. An online Cyberball game, in polygon, would just rock to no
end...same for Super Baseball 2020.

I wonder if they could use Greg Easterbrook's names from his Tuesday
Morning Quarterback columns.

Potomac Basin Indenigous Persons
Tennessee Flaming Thumbtacks
San Francisco Squared Sevens
Cleveland Release 2.1
New Jersey A
New Jersey B

there's a bunch more...

I know it's a little late, how about the teams from the movie Any Given
Sunday?

You know, if Sega used Sega franchises as team names and uniforms (even
just as an available cheat), I'd be sorely tempted to pick up the game
in spite of the fact that I hate normal football (I do love Brutal
Sports Football on the Jag, but I'm afraid its spirit wouldn't survive
the transition to 3D).

That's an interesting idea...but I'd hate to see the mascot for the "Monkey
Balls" team.

LOL.... shouldn't St. Louis name be the St. Louis Shells of their former
selves?
