Having these extra features require a PC is one thing, but if they try to say
that you need a PC to even use it as a game console... Unfortunatly, I
don't think Microsoft really understands the console market that well
yet. They still seem to be too hung up in what technical specs their
console will contain, vs. what software titles they're developing for it.

I thought Xbox was always $300, then followed Sony's lead with regards to
price drops.
As for game prices, I think the companies are going to be in for a big
surprise for the next generation as more and more gamers are going to
realize if they wait a month or two, they can pick up games for $30-35
most of the time, if not less. I know I'm going to have quite a backlog
for the foreseeable future from this generation, and so probably won't buy
any next-generation console until the first round of price drops occur.
