Once you got them all, you can train them to fight against each other.
Sometimes, if you're good, you can get your files to evolve into a new
stronger form.
Oh, wait, that's pokemon...

thanks. i thought i'd try here first. it is a public newsgroup full of
many informed people who can offer their opinions, including yours. some
people in various communities derive pleasure from helping other people out.
I'm one of those people, looking for reciprocation.
again, thanks for your crafty and very original idea. the trick with
googling is inputting the proper terminologies to get back less than junk
and adsites that have used your search words in their site to direct traffic
that way. perhaps you're new to the internet, but this type of thing does
happen, and so the first 100 pages when you type in "unpacking RAR" ps2, or
something similar, will lead you to sites that have nothing whatsoever to do
with those sites. again, thank you very much for trying to help me, perhaps
i have helped you in this regard. if so, please try to pass on my
assistance to others who are not as familiar with the internet, like
yourself.
thanks

| If you've got WinRar, all you need to do is right click on the first one and
you should see some options where you can extract the files.

just like a zip file but as they are rar's you use winrar instead. select
the first in the set (.rar or .001) and it will unpack the lot.

Been using the internet and newsgroups for some years now, I am very used to
it thanks. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with newsgroups? If you want to
pikey games then why do you not try the binary groups for advice, I am sure
there are many hundreds of people like yourself who do the same.
PS2 games do not come as rar files as everyone knows, and if this is a
legitimate file which is legal, then it has no basis on this newsgroup as it
is off topic.
So which is it to be? Are you an off topic poster or a thief?

How hard is it to use Google? Honestly now? I typed in "rar file" and
the first link went to the organization responsible for RAR, including how
to unpack them, and a list of applications you can get (for free) to
unpack them. Gee, how hard was that? The 3rd link was a FAQ about RAR
and PAR (which came up in another thread here)
None of the links on the first page were ads. BTW, Google doesn't just
list those pages that have used your keywords somewhere in their
page. It's a lot more sophisticated than that - and it works, for the
most part.
Even using your string of "unpacking rar ps2", the first and second pages
pointed to are very relevant and the rest of the sites listed contain a lot of
other information you'd probably find useful.
Finally, it's clear from your post that the reason behind your post is to
learn how to pirate (PS2) games. I'm not trying to say such things don't
happen, but there's more than enough information already out there that no
one should really have to come here asking about it. There's even a ton of
older posts on this very newsgroup about it - and again all you have to do
is use Google - Google Groups, in this case.
Sheesh. You're just looking for "help", you're looking for someone to
hold your hand while you conduct your illegal activities. Go away, please.

sorry, i must have misunderstood the NG name, i thought it was
alt.games.video.sony-playstation2, not
alt.games.ps2.don'ttalkaboutpiratinghere or
alt.games.ps2.freedomofspeechisoverrated
i'll go and look for the original NG i was looking for.

As the saying goes "Jesus/God/$greater_force_in_the_universe helps those
who help themselves."

Had you lurked a bit here, you would have seen that many of the regulars
here do not like having people discussing how to pirate games. While such
posts would technically be considered on-topic for this group, and no one
here is a moderator, there's nothing anyone here can do to stop such
threads other than say "please go somewhere else."
The two things I find annoying about such posts are::
1: It's the same questions over and over again. There are already tons of
(useful even!) articles on this very group that answer those questions.
This is why people write FAQs, and there are tons of them on both usenet
and the WWW about this topic.
2: Stupid lazy idiots can't even spend 10 seconds trying to see if just
maybe a search engine can find something useful for them. Even typing
something as verbose as "how do i copy ps2 games" into Google and clicking
'I feel lucky' will get you far more information far quicker than posting
an article here which can take hours (at best) to get a reply.
Still, barely a week goes by without some nimrod asking how to pirate
games - sometimes the posts come within days of each other. Usenet is
archived for a reason you know... It'd be another matter were this
something like IRC. (even then, I'm sure some folks would just boot the
lamer.)
It never ceases to amaze me that folks are willing to ask how to commit
criminal acts on a public forum where it is possible to have each post
traced back to you - ESPECIALLY when there's so much information already
available!
Stupid lazy wanna-be pirates are just pathetic, and IMHO, anyone making
such a post deserves the verbal abuse they receive. If anything, they
should be glad that's all they get. Lord knows what'll happen if the
video game industry forms its own version of the RIAA and starts dragging
folks into court. I mean, it's not like it's difficult or anything, and
with the plethora of documentation out there, all you gotta be able to do
is READ.
