I use the Logitech (forget the name of it) and I think that's received the
best reviews.
I like it, not noticed any interference and battery life is good with a
strong rumble feature.
It's heavier than a wired controller of course but that's the only bad
thing I can say about it. Oh and the price - it was quite a lot for a
controller, $50 I think but I can't remember for sure.

The newer cordless controller from Logitech is very good. It's only $40, and is
barely larger than a DualShock II.

sounds like you have the old logitech cordless controller and not the
cordless "action" controller based on the price you quoted... the new
wireless controller from logitech "action controller" has gotten rave
reviews, alot of reviewers have replaced their corded controllers with
these... and i would suggest the same as i have one that i'm hooked on
using.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/p...t/US/EN,crid=96
following that link will bring you to the product page that has the
controllers on it. the first one is about $60 bucks and pails in
comparison to the cheaper, but much higher quality of the Action
controller below it at about 40 bucks. Read any review on the logitech
cordless action controller and you be sold. i know i was.
Besides it being worth the price of admission... the controller itself
performs exactly like a regular Sony dualshock 2, everything feels like
exactly like the ds2 with just a little extra weigh added by the
batteries and wireless hardware. However using the wireless adapter in
the controller port of the new slimline ps2's will cause the system to
not lay flat. That is probably the only fault i can find, but because
the controller was out before the newer ps2 was, its not really the
fault of logitechs controller.
I hope my input has helped inform you on your decision.

So the $40 "action controller" is the better of the two wireless models from
Logitech?? Hmmm, I'll have to check it out. I had a Logitech wireless
controller that I bought about 2 years ago for the PS2 and it was alright
but it was bigger than the dual shock and a little uncomfortable, I'll check
out the latest and greatest and see if things have improved.

Yes Rick, i would not lead you a stray... I own one and its practically
the same size as the dual shock... slightly meatier. The only true
difference is that the shoulder buttons have more of a rigid feeling...
they feel more square and less smooth. The batteries it came with didnt
last too long, and that's with daily use... but after i put in some
energizers and they havent given up yet, and that's with daily use from
two different people in my house. I dont recommend many things, but
this is one thing i would recommend to anyone looking for an additional
controller or looking to replace a broken one.
Right now i'm debating on getting another one, but not sure if they can
work next to each other. Anyone know the answer to this question???

Yes you can use multiple ones at the same time. Friend of mine has two
of them, well the two of the first version...the big bastards ;) Those
were good, but the new one is MUCH better!! Lighter, smaller and the
sticks are better on it. I have one of the new ones, fantastic!!
