I don't know anybody personally that did this. I do have a coworker,
who is a novice gamer and not a fanboy of any particular console, that
bought a Wii for his kids and said the salesman at GameStop told him
they are experiencing a lot of problems with the PS3 consoles,
customers reporting malfunctioning consoles or just not satisified with
it. It may be that the salesman was just trying to get my coworker to
go ahead and purchase a Wii instead of waiting for a PS3. I will also
point out that GameStop employees (and those at many other retail
chains) are often clueless and spew out misinformation all the time so
I took it with a grain of salt.
