Okay, maybe we were both thinking two different things. It's true, the
person that has very little interest in multiplayer gaming would find
the PS3's online model more attractive because they can do multiplayer
gaming when they want to at no charge (at least no charge for now,
gaming companies may change this later on).

However, for the gamer that is into multiplayer on a regular basis and
wants maximum value from his\her online service (which I believe is a
very large and growing percentage of gamers) then XBL's cost of
$4\month is extremely trivial compared to 0 per month for Sony's.
