FFII is what I am talking about in this context. I know you can play games
online, but you can't play with other people with the freebies you think you
can as one does in XBL. RFOM I saw has nice multiplayer, but to play games
the way it is done in XBL, which isn't remotely close in Sony's service, is
not the way you think

Speaks volumes, how about actual experience. I know 3 people that have PS3s,
and I experienced one up front and it isn't anything like XBL, it is just
like the PS2 system with a web browsing interface. Superficially different,
but operatively the same content offerings as the PS2 when online.

Not even close, the PS3 interface is clogged and not user friendly.
Remember, you are looking at a webpage on the PS3, not an interface that
interacts the way XBL does without using web browsing. Ask booty bandit what
he thinks of XBL compared to Sony's, he is not a fanboy either way (and I am
not saying you are either, I don't do that). He will tell you how much he
likes the XBL without layering it on.

Well, that's saying alot now isn't it. Since XBL has been implemented back
in 2002(? I think), there are over 4 million unique users as of last
September, I am sure there are quite a few more now. It has eveolved nicely.
During that time Sony did nothing to compete with how quickly successful XBL
has become, and what they offered with their service is sad when you know
that they have seen how well XBL has done, and they come out with the PS3
with a superficially enhanced online service like the PS2.

Why you think it will get better, you must know something I do not.
