Good points all around. I personally think HD and HD-DVD's (Blu-Ray
included) will take off faster then most people think. 2-3 years isn't
as far ahead as you might think. I also think that the Blu-ray player
WILL be an advantage for Video Games for the PS3. When has better
technology ever not been put to good use on a popular system? I'm not
talking about failed ideas like addons, I'm talking about technology
that was implemented and included in the base models. You may not think
Blu-Ray will be an advantage, but to say for 100% sure that it won't is
just ridiclious. Especially when your only info comes from devolpers
and tech-nerds who haven't even put that much thought into it yet. Just
speculation.

As for Sony having to deal with not selling as many in the first year
or two as they would've with a lower price point, that could definitely
hurt them. They're trying something different this time and they're
taking a gamble with their dominant market share. You'd think they
might've asked themselves this question already though, huh? That maybe
they're trying to change the industry they helped create just a little
and that this is the only way to do it price be damned.

It may not all work out. If it doesn't... well, then I guess I'll start
seeing a lot more of those Jap games I love so much on the 360 then.
But I don't fault Sony for trying. I'm pretty happy that they're
actually trying to do something off the norm.
