Gamespot Game of the Year

| Despite how some people regard the Gamecube compared to its competition,
for the past 5 years that the system was available, Gamecube games won
the overall Gamespot Game of the Year the most of any system - 3 times.
Not bad for the '3rd place console'

That's pretty cool! Some say Gamespot has it in for Nintendo, I guess not.

I guess I must confess I'm a PS fanboy... I buy everything PS. (Except for
the PS3... Don't get me wrong, I want one, I just can't afford it.) Until
Metriod Prime came out... Turns out I sucked at that game, but then I got
Windwaker and I loved it. Also got Rogue Squadron- loved it too... and I
have to say... the GC is a great little machine! I still have it and play
SSX Tricky all the time!

That's a perfect tag for it... I've always thought my GC looks slightly
silly sitting next to my TV, a squat little purple box, but most of the
games I have for it are just great, especially the metroid prime series
(and RE4 of course).
[I'm currently slowly playing though zelda-twilight-princess GC version
.... I usually just leave the machine turned on when I leave, so my play
time now stands at 347 hours!!!]
