Chaos Theory is one of the most gorgeous games I've played in a while.
All prospective game developers should be forced to play Chaos Theory,
Half-Life 2, and San Andreas before being allowed to create anything on
their own.

Pfttt. Chaos looks good but it isn't THAT impressive.
Low polygon models only go so far.

True, but that is a big part of what makes it impressive to me. I can
only imagine what Ubi will do with the nextgen hardware.

Or not. All the games above whilst good are just based around the real
world so perhaps programmers should just get out there more. I don't
think any of the above have particularly good level structure. I haven't
played CT though, but if it was anything like the first two ...

......isn't THAT impressive when compared to what exactly?.....there isn't
another 'console' game that even comes close to approaching what UBI
accomplished with SC. if this game were to come out on the 360, people would
still be impressed by it's graphics. i'm not talking gameplay, or level
design, just graphics. so when you say isn't THAT impressive, i'd love to
know what game your using to compare it to. sounds to me like you're not a
real big fan and that has sorta biased your opinion, 'cause you can't
honestly look at that game and say there's anything out there that looks any
better. Doom, on the xbox, is gorgeous, but when you stop and look at the
surroundings, your low polygon count has a little more weight....

If we're talking strictly about graphics only, I have to say the
Resident Evil remake and RE0 had as good, if not better realism. Don't
get me wrong, I loved the graphics in SCCT, but the major thing that I
found immersive and realistic about CT was the range of moves available
to Sam and the weapons/security measures he faced. In other words, the
thing that made CT realistic to me was the gameplay, not so much the
graphics.
Of course, I also spent 90% of the game using night vision or thermal
since I was constantly hiding in the shadows to avoid detection.

I sort of gave up on Pandora Tomorrow, but I feel bad because I want to
finish it before Chaos Theory...Hopefully CT is more exciting.
