Does anyone know where I might find a manual for Return of the King for
the Gamecube online? I just bought the game used, but it didn't come
with a manual.

Thanks

PS Has anyone ever had any problems loading this game on the 'cube? I
got an error message when I tried to load it. I cleaned the disk, but
still got the same error. None of my other games have any problems
loading, so I'm thinking it's the game; I hope a different disk will work.

Check here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/gam...ame/914706.html
There are a list of walkthroughs, many of which give details on the game
operation found in the manual.

Thanks for the help. This is what I need. The only thing that would be
better would be a pdf of the manual that comes with the game.

Thanks again.

If you've got booting failures while turning on the gamecube and haven't got
a manual you might have bought a pirated version. Dunno if this is already
really the case for the gamecube but as far as I know GBA/PS2 games bought
on ebay are 90% pirate versions.

This may be a possibility; I have to admit that I just don't have the
eye to tell the difference between the real thing and a clever copy.

Lucky for me, I bought the game from a local used game shop, and they
say that they gaurantee every purchase. I took the game back to the
store yesterday, they cleaned it (the disk looked like it was in perfect
condition before they cleaned it) and it worked just fine on their
machine, but it still doesn't work on my machine.

I get through the intro movie, get a couple of wacks in as Gandolf, then
error message. When I restart, I have to watch the intro movie again;
very frustrating. The next opportunity I get, I'm going to take my cube
and the game back into the store to see if we can figure out the problem.

It is strange that I don't have any problems with any of the other games
(even games I rented from Blockbuster), but this game worked fine in
their machine.
