Well, if that's how you are going to try and define who is the best
developer then that is your own choice. But I find that anyone trying to
shoe horn their own definition of 'best' pretty ridiculous.

Of course Nintendo is in a minority when you count them against everyone
else, that is precisley what I meant. So how can they be in a majority as
you say?

Only by subscribing to the 'popularity equals quality' line of thought.

No I am not - I just don't equal popularity to quality like you appear to.

Of course 'best' is my opinion - if you asked me who I thought was best I
would tell you who I thought was personally the best. I wouldn't look at
sales figures or what everyone else thinks and decide it on that. I would
expect everyone who was asked the same question to respond in the same way -
how on earth is that arrogant?

If someone asked you who you thought the best developer was, would you say
Nintendo because you personally thought it or because of sales and critical
acclaim?

Yes there is collective consensus, but in terms of deciding who or what is
best it doesn't mean much.

You don't really seem to have any idea of what majority you are even talking
about.
