Yes, I forget if you used normal notes (a, b, c...) or if you used the
keyboard's home-row (a, s, d,...) to input the notes. As I recall too,
there were two modes of play - one that showed you what notes had to be
entered for each spell, and one that just played the notes, making you
literally play-by-ear to recreate the spells.
