Responding to an old post, but I thought I'd chime in.

I adore FFTA! I've had it for 6 months and I'm still playing it.
Definitely my favored GBA cart. It inspired me to get "FF Tactics" for
PS1. The GBA version is actually less complex (less advanced?) than
the PS1 version, and toned way down. The PS version was rather grim.
