| Picked up "Mario 64 DS" this morning (large retailer) and noticed that they
also had many DS's on the shelves. There was another customer at the store
(also looking at the DS games), who was very upset that he was still waiting
for a pre-order (online retailer) shipment to arrive. He wasn't too pleased
that he could've just waited and bought it off the shelf, for even less than
he paid (no shipping). Curious, I checked availability for a few other
large retailers on the web for local stores and half of them have units.
Also curious, I took at look on Ebay to see what the scalpers might be
getting for them. They aren't getting any more than a $20 - $30 increase
from the $150 retail price. (Many are trying to get $200+, but they aren't
selling.) Looks like Nintendo did the Nintendo DS launch right. (They will
probably start becoming hard to find after the
day-after-thanksgiving-shoppers start doing their Christmas shopping
though.)
