This is a repack of the "Sega Ages 2500" series from Japan, which consisted
of arcade remakes, stuff like Virtua Racing, Monaco GP, Golden Axe,
Forgotten Worlds, Outrun, and more. They sold individually for the
equivalent of $20 each in Japan, but the USA localizer, Conspiracy Games,
has promised to bundle nearly all of them onto one disc for a $20 USA
release by the end of 2004.
If you look at the EBGames description, it looks as if the collection has
been severely pared down to about 4 games, and the release date seems to
have shifted. The old cover art, featuring lots-o-games, has been removed.
Usually when you see a 12/31 release date, it's just a guess and they don't
know when it's coming out.
I'm really looking forward to this collection, but am worried that the
publisher will delay it forever -- or hobble it so it's only a few games.
