| Thanks to everyone who replied to my post asking about the differences betweeen
the Arcade and Genesis versions of Shadow Dancer. There were some good ideas as
to why this was, but I still have a problem with one thing: WHY is it that on
the Genesis version, they took out the screen where there is a closeup of
Shinobi and Chinese talking when you use the Ninja
magic????????????????????????? That is damn near the coolest thing about the
arcade game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, same thing, the home version was only 4 Megabits, that's 512K,
that's nearly 1/3rd the size of a floppy disk. Full screen sprites,
especially moving ones, take a lot of memory on a 4 Megabit cart. That
said, I was totally dissapointed in any game that came home and got
altered for the longest time. E-Swat, Shadow Dancer and the like really
are longer more involved games in their home versions though. Now,
stuff like Golden Axe or Alien Storm's shortcuts, those suck. ;)
