Sonic the Hedgehog TV series... using MD/Genesis palette?

I was idly watching the new Sonic TV series this morning, and I noticed that
the backgrounds have a lot of banding, as though they are using the same
limited palette as a megadrive or Genesis.
Which, if true, is a nice touch.

Maybe that's just 'burn-in' on the tube from you playing too much sonic? ;)

| Brandon Shanks: I watch it all the time and I also noticed that too. I
also wish i could play Sonic 24/7/365 but i have to go to bed at
10:00.
