Every day today we are losing tens of thousands of visitors to our
website at http://www.uschess.org because there is no way to find on
our website the news reports about the World Chess Championship Match
that is now taking place. You would not even know from looking at our
website that there is such a match.

I realize that this is not Jennifer's fault, but Jennifer is the only
name we know. We do not know who the nameless webmaster of our website
is, except that we have heard that he is somewhere in Canada. As a
result, Jennifer is going to take the blame for this debacle, so I
hope that she gets on the case and finds out who the real webmaster is
and both complains to him and lets us know who he is.

Do you mean to say that we paid, or are paying, $50,000 for this? We
would have been better off continuing to muddle along in our hapless
way, rather than call in these so-called experts to tell us how to run
our website and our magazine. These experts have done nothing but
cause us grief and cost us money, while losing our readership.

The website is junk. The changes in the magazine, such as deleting all
information about the USCF, including how to join and what the
membership dues are or even the mailing address of the organization,
is a disaster.

Do not believe me?? Go through Chess Life and see if you can find any
place where it says exactly what the mailing address of the USCF is,
or where to send your money or how much to pay if you want to join the
USCF.

I vote to stop all payments to the webmaster and to Paul Hoffman. I
understand that we have not paid him the full $50,000 yet. The man is
worthless. Demand our money back and tell him in no uncertain terms:
NO MORE MONEY.

Do I make myself clear, or should I tell you what I really think about
the current situation?

There's no need for Paul Hoffman and Jenn Shahade. My website
www.samsloan.com is much better. I'm willing to take over the webmaster
job for only $39,999 annually. I'm also willing to resign from the
board if this position is offered to me.
