Thanks Taylor Kingston. In my real life (I am not known as Ray Lopez,
though I use this name a lot, even getting published in chess magazines
--letters to the editor-- under this name) I have interacted with Eric
Schiller when he moved to California, from Michigan I think, have
crossed paths with Jim Eade (he wrote the Chess for Dummies book), and
have walked by the Mechanics Institute in downtown San Francisco,
though never had the courage to walk in, despite being a Class A to
borderline expert player (my chess is improving in leaps and bounds now
that I'm in Europe). And, I kid you not, I SWEAR I once saw Kasparov
visiting SF. I wanted to go up and ask him, but I wasn't 100% sure.
BTW Frisco is a beautiful European style city to play chess in; they
should do more tournaments there, but for the fact it's expensive to
lodge there.

See you,

Ray
