| I've often been curious as to how good the F2 and F7 squares play in the game, where would I find this information, if it exists?!?

The f2 and f7 squares are a weakness for both sides because the King is
the only piece defending that pawn and moving that pawn without fair
reason is always a blunder because you have invited your enemy to
invade the King's "personal space" as it were. Notice however that I
said fair reasoning which means that you should study King safety a bit
more.
