Graphical interfaces for FICS?

| People keep telling me that I should meet them on FICS for a game
but I can't stand the interfaces they have for it.
Is anyone ever gonna come out with one that has graphics as good as
the top board view using the mohogany set in CM9000?
I wonder why someone hasn't developed one with actual top view
photos of a tournament set?

i've never actually played chess master, but there is an interface i've
used with fics called cclient that actually has a 3d board...(though not
as nice as the cm from their site's screenshots i admit...cclient's
free, though)
i'm not exactly sure why so many people settle for the 2d board either.
hope that helps some

I too gave up on FICS for quite awhile, but when I saw BabasChess I
decided to return. I don't like 3D graphics, but the 2D graphics and
other features are very good. Hope this is helpful.
