Dear Reader:
Regretfully, Sam Sloan does not provide sufficient context. My son was
the Denker representative from Texas. If one were to read more of the
transcript, one would learn that the person in question was from a
different state. Therefore, the person in question could not have been
my son. For the record, my son attended a High School in Texas for
four years and graduated in 2000.
While I have never made the claim that I am a "computer expert"
(although many view me as one), I have discussed my professional
background, primarily in response to statements that are either
misleading or incorrect about my professional experience. I have been
a full-time information technology professional, primarily as a
software developer, for over 25 years. An example of my work is the
USCF's online rating calculator, which I donated to the USCF for free,
and support for free.
I am proud of my many years of volunteer work for chess, including my
current service as the Texas Chess Association President. If elected
to the USCF Executive Board, I will look forward to serving chess at
the national level.
Best regards,
George John
