I fully agree with George John on all these points. It is completely
unreasonable to expect the members of the USCF Executive Board to be
able to read and understand a contract. This contract should have been
presented with colorful charts, graphs and diagrams broken down into
simple English terms so that even the stupidest people could
understand it. This is particularly true where, as here, two of our
board members are immigrants from foreign countries and have never
learned to speak, much less read or write, proper English and they
never enjoyed the benefits of the vastly superior educational system
available in these United States.
If presenting colorful charts, graphs and diagrams to explain a
contract is beyond the capability of our Executive Director, they
naturally we should have the USCFfs lawyer, Michael J. Matsler, break
down the contract into simple English terms and provide a chart or a
graph to explain it, for which he will only charge us the entirely
reasonable fee of $350 per hour.
Of course, the best solution of all is that I understand that we have
a really smart fellow running for the USCF Executive Board. That is
George John and not only is he a recognized computer expert but he was
even educated in our country and therefore he can break down the USCF
contracts into simple English, so that even the members of the USCF
board will be able to understand it, although it is unfortunate that
George John never did that when George DeFeis, whom he supported, was
in power and signed some really terrible contracts which caused the
USCF to lose a million dollars. With a really fart smeller like George
John on the USCF board, he will be able to bring with him his high
intelligence plus his thorough competence in reading the English
language and therefore we will no longer have to be concerned about
having a USCF board that cannot read.
