Is there a conflict between Sabine and Beatriz?

| Here is what has been suggested:
The archetect behind the Crossville move is Harry Sabine, an attorney
and a long time chess enthusiast and rated Class B player who lives in
Crossville, Tennessee.

Sabine is a USCF insider who served 6 years on the Policy Board. He
first served from 1984 to 1987. In 1987, he was elected
Vice-President. In 1990, he ran for USCF President but was defeated by
Max Dlugy. At that time, terms of office in the USCF were for three
years.
It is said that the reason Sabine wants for the USCF to move to
Crossville is that Sabine wants the job of executive director for
himself. Certainly, Sabine is the only chess person in Crossville
capable of holding that position.
However, now Sabine finds out that Beatriz Marinello wants the job of
Executive Director. So, Sabine has told Beatriz that in order to
become Executive Director first she must first resign as President.
Beatriz smells a trap. Once she resigns as President she will have no
say on who becomes Executive Director. Beatriz fears that Sabine will
double-cross her and take the position for himself once she resigns.
So, now, Beatriz is in a quandry. She does not know whom to trust and
for this reason she has not carried out her plan to fire Bill
Goichberg.
Remember, all this is just a rumor. I have no idea if it is true or
not but it comes from a generally good source and at least it seems
plausible.

Let me guess, you got this from Hans Christen Andersen.
