jointly organize the US Woman's Championship.
A high official of AF4C said the same thing to a reporter, though he
had the tact not to use your name. Do you want to claim that he's
lying, too? Maybe they're all in it together, constantly plotting,
conspiring against you. Or maybe not.

I didn't say it had been published. Some people actually try not to
embarrass the USCF unnecessarily. I have it in writing, however, and
no, I am not going to give you the names of two more people to insult,
defame and harass. You're hardly in a position to complain about
anonymous sources.
So, let's sum it up: Two people say the charge is true. You say it's
false, on the basis of no evidence except that no one from Merrill
Lynch called to tell you that you're a disgusting pig. Or perhaps we
are to assume that your tasteful and understated posts and web page
couldn't possibly bother anyone. I known which way I'd bet.

Everybody seems to have forgotten that before the potential sponsor
supposedly "pulled out" of sponsoring the US Championship, this
potential sponsor was insisting that the event be a knock-out, that
many if not most of the matches be played online, and that there be a
one-day final in Las Vegas with an "exciting finish".
Virtually all of the players had objected to these conditions and were
refusing to play, with the sole exceptions of Benjamin and Kamsky, who
said that they were willing to play regardless of the conditions as
long as they got paid a lot of money for doing so.
So, there was never a deal to hold the US Championship. There was
never any money. There were never any players. There was never any
sponsor. Yet, in spite of all this, Bill Goichberg claims that it was
entirely because of Sam Sloan that the US Championship is not being
held.

I believe this is exactly what some of us have been saying would be
the problem with Sam on the EB. There is no way a major corporation is
going to consider the USCF when any web search will tie Sam Sloan and
his web filth to the USCF.

This is untrue. Many people are able to find the #### on your site
even when they are not looking for it. My neighbor has a ten year old
daughter that found your pokeporn last November. You know the url as I
have forwarded it to you at least twice since you took your seat on
the EB. Why do you tell such untruths?
The truth is that if you did not have filth on your web site people
would not find it whether or not others "advertised" it.

There are still more problems:
Not only does Bill still want to hold two more qualifiers, but he
insists that if anybody on the present list of qualifiers declines to
play, we must fill that space with somebody further down the list.
For example, Susan Polgar has already stated that she is refusing to
play. Since that is the case, Bill wants to fill her spot with the
next woman down the list.
I believe that many on the present list of qualifiers will decide not
to play once they find out that there is no prize money and that they
will have to travel at their own expense to play.
This does not bother Bill who will simply invite the next person down.
How many have noticed that Larry Christiansen and Boris Gulko will not
get to play in this year's US Championship even though they are rated
number 7 and 8 in the USA, because they did not qualify from any of
Bill's tournaments?
What should be done instead is, as players decline to play because of
no money, the number of players is reduced to a more manageable size.
The choice is not between allowing all these qualifiers to play and
not allowing them to play. The choice is between holding a small round
robin as a US Championship and Zonal Tournament that we can afford and
not holding a tournament at all.
In short, Bill Goichberg has set himself up as THE DECIDER. He refuses
to allow any input from the rest of us who are also elected members of
the board.
