With regard to "Tapper/Dowd",

Raise your hand if you thought Phil Innes was making
a joke when he publicly accused "Dr D" of snipping
a question that, in reality, had been directed by Phil
Innes to Larry Tapper.

"... I extended Dr D an invitation ...

The reality:

"... Larry ...

let me ... ask, BTW, if you have read
Gulko's manuscript? ..." - Phil Innes

And what about the time when he told us that "Dowd"
had "backed off" of a challenge that had actually
been made by Larry Tapper?
_
"... Since I seem to have accepted Dread
Dowd's challenge not for a few games but a
week of games, he himself backed off, and
has never made any contact - which is much
as I thought it would be. ..." - Phil Innes

Indeed, without much trouble, one can find:
_
"I would like to propose a grudge match between
me and Phil Innes." - Larry Tapper (20 Apr 2006

Does Phil Innes want us to remember that he thinks
it is funny to publicly accuse people of things that
they did not do?

_
After quoting the references to the "I'm not your boy!"
incident, Phil Innes wrote (Sun, 20 Aug 2006

7 What's so funny about not being in anyone's pocket?
7 You trying out for the Winterette's?

Here is a rerun:

"... I am not interested in the cut and deplore routine.
If you have something to say to standards of public
decency to children and women, David, write them.
Otherwise, you may do the other thing." - Phil Innes

enough in the subject to engage it. ..." - Phil Innes

"It appears Mr. Innes is talking to himself again.
And what's more, he's taking offense at his own
