LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

< I suspect he will be inundated with letters of protest when
readers are finally informed of his decision. Let's see how
this is handled in Letters to the Editor. > -- jr

There will either be a blackout in Chess Life re the
Evans cancellation or a carefully measured one or two
letters agin' and fer, suggesting a divided house.
The latter is the smarter and more likely ploy.

As yet, we have not seen the supposed written
report on the magazine redesign.

ONE BEGINS TO THINK, WITHOUT KNOWING FOR SURE,
THAT NO SUCH WRITTEN REPORT EXISTS. If true, how could the
editor have referenced such a text when cancelling the Evans column?

We will be learning more about the politics behind the move as time
passes.
