"The Kingston review of the Soltis volume is evidently a clinker."
The insertion of the weasel word, "evidently", seems to indicate that
Larry Parr has not even bothered to read Kingston's review before
forming an opinion as to its value. He appears to rely solely upon
comments by Ray Keene -- a man who is desperate to sidestep criticism
and who relies upon baseless ad hominem attacks to "deal with" any and
all criticism of his work. So much for Larry Parr's commentary, which
amounts to mindless parrotting of Ray Keene's muddled "thinking".
Nevertheless, I want to thank Larry Parr for typing or scanning in
the whole game -- putting the unsound combination into better
perspective for us.
My view is that the game annotations mentioned here by others are
what amount to a "clinker", purportedly debunked by Em. Lasker. IMO,
the defense [...f6!!] is an obvious move, not deserving any exclams at
all. Thus, R-f5 was slop (we are getting a lot of that these days). I
particularly enjoyed the way White mishandled his KB throughout much of
the game. It reminded me, of me.
