The guy who lives on the Sealand tower could use someone to play against,
and he definitely has time on his hands, as well as some of the fastest
internet servers in the world!

First you have to buy a citizenship from St. Sealand, local bribes will do
or just buy a house from a local for twice what it is worth. Make sure
you post inarticulate babbling to rgcp after you've applied for FIDE
membership (heck, even before is okay too!) and it's okay to claim
you are a permanent delegate before the fact.

Welcome to the klub, RG.

Ray Gordon or any else doesn't have enough money to be a FIDE Delegate.
It is all about money. Accept it. If you have a country that has no
FIDE Delegate, and you spend the money and want to hold chess
tournmanets, you can be a FIDE Delegate. Starting a national chess
association is all about MONEY.

Let me go further. I am not going to invest in Chess without declaring
the FIDE nation. It is my money, I can spend my money any way I want,
and this investment tends to help chessplayers who do not want to take
observed DRUG TESTS at vacation tournamnets. So, the real reason you
get this jealosy is becasue I am rich. It has nothing to do with being
a FIDE delegate.

If it upsets off the world becasue I am rich enough to delcare a FIDE
nation, so be it. I am holding chess tournamnets on St Kitts with my
money. To do that, I have rightfully declared a FIDE nation.

As I said in another thread, I've already met you "in real life".
I'm a former Texas state amateur champion back when I
lived in Dallas. I thought you were an idiot then, and I still
think that, after reading your nonsense on RGCP.

Seeing a newly rich man so modest about his good fortune is indeed
refreshing. Is a diamond pinkie ring, gold neck chain, and Donald
Trump hair-do among your other investments?

Don't be too sure about your "any else" (anybody else?) - Thanks
to the DOT.COM boom in the late 90's early 00's, I'm quite well
off, thank you very much.

Dear Chess Freak,

If you are wealthy, then start a FIDE nation. At least I want to do
something involving chess, instead of worshiping the web as some kind
of universal chess tool. If I make money with Chess on St Kitts,
everyone wins - but you.

Nobody in their right mind would try to deal with FIDE in tournament
hosting in a country that is a non FIDE member. Think about the
logistics of dealing with FIDE. Everyone country is entitled to a
Delegate, for dealing with FIDE for precisely the kinds of problems
that I am facing now. The natural, proper thing to do is to declare a
FIDE nation. You don't have the businesses experience to understand
what is going on. You are a chess nerd who can't see how people in
the real world invest in Chess, and the investment patterns that can
lead to success. You care about these bullshit titles, because you ego
is weak.

If you have held some real chess offices, you tend to realize that at
the end of the day, most people are happy to have had the opportunity
to play in a chess event. The provider of that chess event tends to be
the hero. USCF President Bill Goichberg is a good example of this. No
matter what that man does or says, he will be a hero, because he holds
the chess tournament.

If I hold a chess tournament on St Kitts and I pay the prize fund,
everyone will be happy with that. At the end of the day, holding the
chess tournament is all that matters. To get to the point to hold the
chess tournament, you need to have the tournament site a FIDE member,
and I don't need FIDE permission or your permission.

Invest in Chess yourself, and I'll believe that you are wealthy.

I already do something for chess. Like I've said before, I support
internet chess. I have no interest in dealing with FIDE or OTB
chess events for the chess 'elite'. Easily 1000 times more chess
games are played via the internet than OTB these days, I help
bring chess to every person, not a select few.

Interesting statement: "If I make money with Chess on St Kitts,
everyone wins - but you.". I'm not out to make money off
chess (if you are making money, someone is losing it - consider
that). That's the biggest difference between me and you - you
are in it for the money, I'm in it for the game.

Um, I was being sarcastic.

For more information about the Principality of Sealand:

http://www.sealandgov.com/

Sealand won its right to exist when it defended itself against the British
Navy in a stunning upset that was in no doubt aided by a UK court refusing
to give the Navy permission to go out to sea and swat them.

Some internet servers are there and claim to be "bulletproof" or not subject
to the laws of any other nation.

Sounds like a perfect place for FIDE headquarters and the next world
chmpionship match.

OK, if they have an OBSERVER at the United Nations, they have a shot at
joining. If they have a National Olympic Committee and a UN Observer
(or if they are UN members) they can join FIDE. Without UN membership
or observer status and a National Olympic Committee, the application
would fail. Understand the primary factors: UN association and a
National Olympic Committee.

You said you wanted to be a FIDE Delegate from Seland, I told what it
would take. Perhaps my answer is as SARCASTIC as your question. If you
want to join SEALAND, I am telling you exactly how FIDE would handle
it. Quebec just recently failed on a bid. Texas won't make it. SELAND,
I could see, if you had a National Olympic Committee.
