The Women's World Chess Championship

| According to the Chessbase site...the Women's World Chess Championship
is being held in Ekaterinburg, Russia. The webpage also lists the
participants for the championship. One name leaps out and I am curious
to know whether it's accurate. It says one participant is WIM Irina
Krush of the USA. What's surprising to me about this listing of Irina
Krush...is the fact that she didn't show up for the US Chess
Championship.
So the question is this: did WIM Irina Krush choose not to participate
in the US Chess Championships because it conflicted with her intention
to play for the Women's title being held in Ekaterinburg, Russia?
