BOZO FILTER

<On the positive side, the spam and the nutballs, for the most part, go
away. But, if I really don't want to see Sloan's posts or Gordon's
posts, or someone else's posts, a few seconds setting a bozo filter
will take care of this.> -- Mike Murray

The Nolanland moderated forum of moderation at
the USCF may have doublestandards, etc., as noted by
Phil Innes. But I have to part company with Phil on
the ultimate danger.

Gentlemen: I beg you. Take a look at what a
few months at Nolanland has done to poor Bill Brock.
The man is again frothing about sex and children.

Mr. Brock promised to leave us, and like John
Belushi in Animal House, who was protesting the German
attack on Pearl Harbor by inciting his frat brothers,
he waved his arm for the 50,000 or so of us to follow him.

No one did.

At the time, I predicted Mr. Brock's return. I
told all of you that this man could not handle
Moderated Moderation. Pressure would build up inside
his skull.

What I failed to apprehend was that Mr. Brock
would return a wreck of humanity -- a gibbering
derelict mumbling endlessly about sex and chldren.

Will Mr. Brock recover? I am hoping that a few
weeks spent quaffing the bracing intellectual tonic
waters of rgcp will be like a trip to the old Niehans
Klinik in Switzerland.
