BUT HER JOB WASN'T ADVERTISED

<Yes, Jay Sabine is Harry Sabine's son. He applied
for a position in the membership department when it
was advertised locally and was well qualified for the
position, as he was a 1600 player and had also been a
TD.> -- Mike Nolan

Harry Sabine brings the Federation to Crossville
and his son, who is qualified (as are they all qualified)
now gets a job there.

Nice.

But the job was advertised, yet the apparently
much higher position now occupied by Jennifer Shahade
was not advertised. Her hiring was suggested to the
executive director, who got the message.

Nice, too.

Harry Sabine apparently vetted the contracts for
the building, knowing that another down-home boy in
Cross-to-Bear was to get $60,000 for designing a
building then estimated to cost about $300,000 to
$350,000. We had to break the story to the broader
membership. But he is an honorable man. So are they all.
All honorable men.
