Pete Casso's postings have titles but no messages. If he has nothing
to say, why does he bother posting?

I am annoyed. We would like to see some membership reaction to the
election results, and instead we get this.

Then just post the political postings to rgcp, your political postings to
other groups is annoying to the other groups, as proven by yourself now.

I just wanted to show how badly political postings pollute other groups.

I stated that several times in rgcm where I normally post, without any
result. Thus, as a chinese proverb says, I combat fire with fire.

Thus, as a chinese proverb says, I combat fire with fire.

Sounds more like being a jackass. All it is is another form of spam.

You made my point about politicians posting to groups other than rgcp

I made a point that you were a jackass. If they are being jackasses,
all you have done is joined their ranks. If you wanted to make the
signal to noise level even more unbearable, you did. So good job, Sloan
jr.

You confirmed my point on combatting fire with fire

The irony here is that Pete Casso's posts have nothing to say in ANY
chess group. His play-by-play accounts of tournaments in progress are
totally without value, inasmuchas they do not even offer a reference to
the positions he prattles on about, and by the time most people read
his posts, the games have already been completed and can be viewed
elsewhere. I supposed he imagines legions of fans waiting in real time
for his next posting, but that is only in his imagination!

You don't have to agree with the support I have received in rgcm where I
usually post

You do not speak for the thousands of people that view the usenet Casso. You
speak for yourself and yourself only.

The only thing that has been confirmed Casso, is that NOBODY is supporting
your opinion here.

What support? In misc you have been told to "piss off," called a
"net-nanny," and so on.

I don't see one post supporting your tirade. And of course now, you
will say you received "tons" of emails supporting your foot-stomping.
Just stop adding to the noise. Sam Sloan has crossposted for years to
all kinds of groups and he will never stop. Your so-called tournament
reports in misc are also irritating as hell.

You're pretty irritating as well James. What's your excuse?

James, there are a lot of imposters floating around here these days.
It was only a matter of time before I got one, too. Check the headers
before you take anything too seriously around here.

Matt

My deepest apologies to you, Matt! I should have guessed, since
normally you are one of the more lucid posters here. No fool like an
old fool, I guess.

PeteCasso

wow, a lot of imposters posting here and on misc

Apology accepted James. In the future, keep your gag on until you have
all the facts.

"When you are thinking of fighting fire with fire, remember that the
fire department usually uses water." -- Ann Landers, or Dear Abby, or
someone.

Actually, I have no problem with Pete Casso's title-only postings.
I've seen far less amusing contributions to this newsgroup.
