There's a nifty slogan if I ever heard one! "Since 1998!" Be
sure to put that on your business cards. It's a winner! (Kinda
makes us oldtimers feel a bit ... well, OLD. Say, where's my oxygen
tank!?)

->... have made well over 4000 posts on this forum ...

Careful, now! Some people might not see that as anything to
brag about. <ahem>

->I do appreciate it when anyone in a leadership position publicly
->acknowledges a mistake.

Early in his career Richard Nixon called them "crises." Later on,
in that Golden Age we oldsters fondly look back on as the Nixon White
House Days, his spokesperson refined it to the point of merely say-
ing, "I misspoke myself." Being a deft wordsmith can be advantageous
in politics. It may make it unnecessary to admit "mistakes." <grin>

P.S. On a serious note, I've been online in "Modemland" since 1984.
The deluge of fake postings that's occurring here is deplorable.
I've seen this kind of thing happen in a few other forums or bases;
it tends to produce tremendous ill will and to drive honest readers
and posters away. This newsgroup needs to be moderated. Unfortun-
ately, on the Usenet instituting a change like moderation is not
very feasible. That's a shame. We'll just have to wait until the
fakers either grow up, graduate from elementary school and move on
to other things, or drop out. That could take a long time.
