Thanks,
Several of them have changed and as in many cases one owner will own
both signals and negotiations get confusing.

I hope you will create a match with England. That would be quite
exciting.

This has been attempted. Too bad that Staunton refused to play Morphy. We'll
never know now will we?

Dear Mr. Singh,

It almost happened first! 2.5 years ago both Short and Adams were interested
at that time. Recently I have been talking with 2 British organisers who
have volunteered themselves as agents to facilitate a match.

In your opinion, can you suggest an English 'dream-team' of 4 players and a
reserve who are all London or home counties based? Our format prefers at
least one woman plus one junior [about 18 yrs].

I knew Michael when he was hardly 5 feet tall, and long before he scored
tournament performance ratings of 2900.

Luke was very impressive these past 12 months. Russian friends started to
notice him.

> Gormally - Gulko

Haven't followed Mr. Gormally very much - but there may be a problem here,
since one of the GM organisers said he wanted to play - did you forget to
suggest a reserve? Is Gormally 2630-ish?
quote:

> Harriet Hunt - Stripunsky

In my youth I scored evenly with the UK woman's champion over a few games. I
would stand very little chance these days against Harriet, besides I am now
ancient [plus all the usual excuses]. Alex Stripunsky on the other hand is
one of the most aggressive US players I have seen, maybe even more so than
Nakamura.

Want to predict a result for this line up? One game white, one black,
20mins/game, no delay.

Cordially, Phil

Adams 1.5-.5 Polgar
McShane 1-1 Onischuk
Gormally 1-1 Gulko
Harriet Hunt .5-1.5 Stripunsky

4-4 tie

We have smoke in London Train Station now. I'm afraid we may have
something bad happening again. Northern and Victoria lines have been
suspended. Everyone was evacuated. I'm hoping for the best.

There are 3 different incidents at once. It is quite chaotic at the
moment. There is mass panic. We have explosions at warren st station
and 2 other locations. Scotland Yard closed down 3 stations.

Sadly the listed Tampa affiliate is showing some Humana Insurance
infomercial unless I've gone wacky or my cable provider has slipped
something else in.

Too bad.

likewise, Washington, D.C. WDCN-UPN 20, is showing Buffy. what a
dissapointment that this thing wasn't pulled off very well, if at all.

All stations will reply the show. There were problems getting the
videos edited due to difficulties created by our friends from Russia.
It is playing right now on the internet at:

Hi Rob,

best communication so far was from a mother of 2 kids who wanted a safe
chess-site for her 6 and 8 year old boys. I made her a suggestion of the
nabisco site. its cool to read this sort of response since it gets kids
involved in the game in a good way

i also note that 64 want to do a special on the match - but the 1st type of
response pleased me more, our presentation was after all designed to be for
a very general audience of people, and not just to the chess community

as a chess development project to a world audience, i think we did the job
we set out to do

but to the chess community khalifman said me after the match how interesting
it was, and in fact both games by boris gulko are fascinating subjects for
analysis

some practiced commentators have written from europe with constructive
criticism, but are very encouraging of this type of event on tv

i have at last taken a look at the on-line version of the match via
http://www.martinbroadcasting.com/
and those 2 commentators! I think one of those people should have worn
shades over his tie!

cordially, phil
