I do not know who you are but you seem to be new here.
The above posting was not by me. You can tell that because the return
address is:
From: "SloanSam" <sloan@journalist.com>
Thaty is not my address. That it the address of a fake poster. He also
posts as StanB and I imagine that the Real StanB is as mad about this
as I am.
I have been out all day. I left very early this morning for my TV
editing class which I take every Saturday. I have just arrived home to
find about 20 fake postings under my name.
I have never used the terms bulldyke or gay in any of my postings
ever, so if you see somebody using those terms you can be sure that it
is not me.

Where do you see that information? I know how to see the
NNTP-Posting-Host, but how do you determine the latitude/longitude from
that, and relate that to the physical location of the person sending
the post?

I am also very curious to know the answer to this question.
Do you know where I post from? What is that latitude and longitude?
I posted five times from Chicago. Did the latitude and longitude
change when I posted there?

OK. This is mildly interesting but does not prove much.
sloan @ journalist.com (one of the fake posters) posts at 4.237.41.136
According to the above website, that is in Flushing, NY.
I post through Verio from 68.237.245.115
According to trhe above website, that is in Brooklyn NY.
How do you conclude that we are the same person?
If it narrows it down, it narrows it down to the about ten million
people who live between or around Brooklyn New York and Flushing New
York.

Possible. I would be very disappointed if that is the case, but I
cannot rule it out.
What we have is somebody who hates Beatriz, dislikes Stan and dislikes
me but dislikes me less than he dislikes Beatriz or Stan.
Knows a lot of Internet tricks.
Possibly lives in Flushing New York.
Probably knew that I was in Chicago for a chess match and would not be
posting then.
I think we might be getting somewhere. There are at least two fake
posters but we might have one of them.

Doesn't a well-known female GM (recently praised in a press release by
an alleged co-worker as one of the three top GMs in the world) run a
chess school near Flushing? Didn't the male half of Trollgar like to
post under assumed names?

All this IP address speculation is worthless. We all know Parr lives
in Malaysia, but if you look up his IP address (207.200.116.132) they
point to Los Angeles, CA.
For once, I agree with Sloan. This is mildly interesting but does not
prove anything.

As do "Cynic" and "Jr". All three have the same address. Isn't that

Interesting list. To this you have to add Jurgen R. because he has
posted three of four times over my name from Germany, but his posts
are harmless and not maliceous like the others.
Definitely you have to add Tim Hanke to the list. He is known to post
under fake names. He also does not like me.
You have to take my son off this list. He lacks the technical
knowledge to do this. Also, he cannot write or spell.
Another candidate is Jim Eade who is known to post fake and malicious
messages. Eade has been outed as both SlamStoan and "The Old
Professor".
Neil Brennen certainly is a very likely candidate. Also, Tim Just.
I can think of several other possible additions to this list.

I think it very unlikely I'd write such crude and humorless postings;
they don't even approach, let alone come near, my best work.

I do not believe that you are the fake poster. However, you have been
spoofing me by posting under "Spam Scone" for years. Therefore you
canmnot be excluded as a candidate.
I believe that there are two and possibly three fake posters who use
my name. One, we just caught. I have my opinion as to who the other
two might be.

I realize that you are insane, but are you so insane that you can't

deceive?

However, I think it possible that you wander off to the library and think
you're covering your tracks by posting from there.
Flushing, as I recall, ain't that far from where you live.

| I am replying to a posted message, quoted below. In that message, the
"real" Sam Sloan, s...@ishipress.com, replies to a message posted by
the "fake" Sam Sloan, sloan@journalist.com. The "fake" Sloan wrote,
"Who am I?", and then gave a list of familiar names. Presumably his
real identity is not on the list.
The "fake" Sloan removed his message from the Google archive. So you
can't see the original message if you read this newsgroup via Google.
But if you read this newsgroup via some other NNTP server, such as the
one provided by your ISP, of course you can still see the original
message.
I think there has been at least one other anonymouse who used to remove
his messages from the Google archive.
