Larry Parr does not produce a single
specific example of this supposed
dishonesty.

Three names was all I contributed to this
discussion. It was, for example, Neil
Brennen who contributed "gutter patriots"
and "Ratpackers".

If Larry Parr responds to name-calling with
name-calling of his own, then he is not
eschewing name-calling.

If, in the future, Larry Parr tries to have
us believe that he eschews name-calling,
I wonder if he would be kind enough to
include a footnote explaining that, in his
opinion, he can eschew name-calling
while indicating that someone is a
"pompous, semi-lettered nit". Of course,
we can always remind Larry Parr, even
if he leaves out such a detail.

Perhaps Larry Parr will give an example
where he claims that I "left out the 'as'
or 'like' words referring to similes".
_
Perhaps Larry Parr will give a quote of me
where he claims that I tried "to equate"
Larry Parr's "responsibility with that of a
chess person who writes a six page
article for Chess Life."
_
So far, I have not even seen Larry Parr
follow my practice of providing a specific
time and quote that would make it easy
to locate the details on Google.

"Parser Blair" is a name, and Larry Parr
calls it.

Here is what is found by a little research:
_
"[Mr. Kingston's] article was written in 1998 --
two years after [the GM Evans article] -- and
it's clear by then that other people knew about
Botvinnik's admission and Whyld said about
Keres.
...
What GM Evans and I knew by 1998 when
[Taylor Kingston's article] was printed in
Chess Life should certainly have been known
by Mr. Kingston, who claimed to undertake
formal research." - Larry Parr (30 May 2005

_
"Is Larry Parr trying to tell us that by May
1998, both he and GM Evans knew (and
remembered) the 1991 Botvinnik comment
and the Whyld-Keres discussion?" - Louis
Blair (30 May 2005 19:19:31 -0700)
